Michael was a gentleman in every sense of the word. Raconteur extraordinaire. We loved his stories of life and adventures. Always a joy. So many memories of times together with dear Maryann. We shall miss him very much. Always in our hearts. Judy & Martin x
Michael was a truly social person who always loved a party. Especially the wonderful garden parties he hosted at their home.We have very fond memories of all of them. He was renowned for his punctuality Always arriving at the Prince of Wales pub at 6pm, you could set your clock by him.He stayed for an hour then left for home to cook whatever he had purchased that day for supper in time for Maryann to return from her shift at the hospital. During his long illness he never complained of the pain he was in. He still enjoyed seeing people and having a glass of wine or two while sharing some lovely stories. He did this in his greenhouse which became his summer house and his favourite place to be.. We will sadly miss him.
Thank you for setting up this memorial to Michael. We hope that you find it a positive experience developing the site and that it becomes a place of comfort and inspiration for you to visit whenever you want or need to.
I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
